1. Warning and safety instructions

1.1 Warnings
All models may only be installed by qualified specialist personnel (according to relevant standards,
e.g. IEC 60364, VDE 0100, VDE 0105).
In the event of malfunctions or damage, switch off the supply voltage immediately and send the
device to the manufacturer for inspection. Internal fuses trip irreversibly in the event of a fault.
Failure to observe the following points may result in
electric shock, fire, serious accidents or death.
▶ Switch off the input voltage before carrying out
installation, maintenance or modification work
and secure it against unintentional electrical
reconnection.
▶ Ensure proper and professional wiring, to local
regulations. Use wire end ferrules to ensure that
no individual strands protrude from connection
wiring; the complete wire is in the terminal
and the connection terminal screws are tight.
Also tighten the screws of unused connection
terminals.
▶ All service and maintenance work may only be
carried out by qualified specialist personnel.
1.2 Safety instructions
▶ The product complies with the essential
requirements set out in the EU Directive on
Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC Directive)
for equipment (2014/30/EU).
▶ Each gateway has been tested and pre-
configured to ensure it functions properly. All
work on the device may only be carried out by a
trained and authorised expert.
▶ The device must be stored and transported in a
frost-free environment.
▶ Devices with activated radio are not allowed in
air cargo.

▶ Do not use force when changing the SIM card.
The SIM card must be pushed in or out, do not
lever it.

▶ The inputs and outputs are to be operated
exclusively within the scope of the technical
specification and must not be subjected
to impermissibly high voltages or voltages
dangerous to the touch!
▶ For devices with built-in batteries, the regulations of
the respective air carrier must be observed.
▶ Use a cloth moistened with water to clean the outer
shell. Do not allow water to get inside the device.
▶ All instructions listed in the data sheet, the
operating instructions and the quick reference
guides of the gateway must be observed.
▶ Only use the device for its intended purpose and
when in a technically perfect condition
