2.2 - settings

• You can access your camera settings by
clicking on 'Réglages [settings]' at the top of
the window:

1 Configuration wizard: provides a quick
way to change the IP address of the camera
or set up a WiFi connection
2 Status: shows the state of the camera,
its functions, the list of users currently
connected and the connection log
3 Basic settings: camera name, time
displayed, usernames and passwords
4 Network: wired, wireless, email, FTP server
and P2P connection settings (simplified
remote viewing)
5 Video: settings for image quality, frame rate,
data embedded in the image, snapshot
schedule by time or week
6 Alarm: settings for motion detection and
actions to be performed as a result
7 Recording: settings for video recording
(use this to select a directory on your
computer to receive the videos you set to
record from your computer)
8 PTZ: used for setting the motorised
movement speed and the pre-set points in
your camera's field of view.
9 Firewall: used to restrict access to the
camera based on IP address (default =
disabled)

2.3 - Example: programming an email alert to be
sent when motion is detected
To program an alert to be sent when motion is
detected, you need 2 email addresses: the address
of the sender which will be used by the camera,
and the address which will receive the alerts. The
camera uses the username and password of the
sender address to connect and send the email.
Configuration depends on the chosen email
provider's settings.
Note: the 2 addresses can be the same (you will
simply be sending an email to yourself)
In our example, we use www.gmail.com:
sender-address@gmail.com sends the alerts,
addressee@gmail.com receives the alerts. Both
addresses need to have been created beforehand.
• First of all, go into the 'Réglages e-mail
[Email settings]' under the 'Réseau [Network]'
