5.2 Step 2: First activation and charging the arm module

In principle, you only switch the arm module on once, after which the arm module is always
on and can be charged. From now on, you will start and stop the system by connecting and
disconnecting the arm module and the charging adapter.
Take a ballpoint pen/pencil

The dark grey underside of the arm module houses an on-off
-
switch. Use the pencil to move this switch to the middle of the
module to activate the arm module. This only needs to be done
once. After this, you (de)activate the system via the charging
cable. If you wish to turn the arm module off to prevent the
battery from running out, use the on-off switch to turn off the arm
module. PLEASE NOTE: the arm module will not charge if it is
turned off.
As soon as you have activated the arm module via the switch, 2

green LEDs will light up brightly on the dark underside. These are
the LEDs that measure the heartbeat.
Connect the arm module to the charging adapter and the power supply. The arm

module will now charge.
Then connect the base station to the power supply and wait until the arm module is

charged.
Arm module battery life:
Battery charging time: approximately 3 hours.

In principle, a fully charged battery will last at least 12 hours.

Charging:
The arm module must be fully charged before each use. When you connect the armband to
the charging adapter (which in turn is connected to the power supply), the heartbeat LEDs
on the underside will turn off and a green LED on the white top part will start to blink. This
indicates that the arm module is charging. As soon as the arm module is fully charged, the
green LED on the upper side will be on continuously. The LED on the armband emits dim
rather than bright light to minimise disturbance during the night.
PLEASE NOTE: Replace the product if a fully charged battery is empty after a single
night or after one cycle of use.
PLEASE NOTE: Never allow the arm module battery to be completely empty, as this
will make it 'lazy' and hold less charge in future.
