WARNINGS AND SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

F IMPORTANT SAFETY CAUTIONS
Before you start using RENEW Skin Rejuvenation:
Be sure to read all Warnings and Safety Information before use and follow them strictly when using
the device. This is a powerful device and should be used with special precaution.
The device is not designed for everyone. Use the skin chart provided on the box and at the front of this
manual and the integrated skin tone tester to determine if this device is right for you.
, General Risks
If you use the device as directed, the following risks are low:
• You may develop temporary blisters, although unlikely, if you do develop a blister stop using the
device immediately.
• If used over dental fillings or dental implants you may experience sensitivity.
, TIP: Place your tongue between your teeth and treatment area during the treatment. This should
reduce the sensitivity in the filling.
• Skin discolouration: If you notice that your skin tone in the treatment area has changed (turned
lighter or darker than the surrounding untreated skin), stop using the device immediately.
, Skin Type
Please refer to the skin chart on page 2.
• Do not use on naturally dark skin, as it may result in swelling, blisters and changes in skin colour.
• Do not use on tanned skin or after recent sun exposure, as it may cause burns or skin injury.
, What to consider:
• Skin spots such as mottled skin, freckles and liver/age spots are typically benign and therefore safe to
treat.
• Do not use this device if you are unsure or have concerns about the spot to be treated and consult
a doctor for a full skin examination.
, Risk factors you should consider before treating a spot include:
• Your medical history.
• The history of the spot and its location.
• The appearance and texture of the spot.
, WARNING: Do not use this device if you have a history of skin cancer.
, CAUTION: Do not treat any suspicious lesions or any spots you are unsure about.
, Other areas not to treat:
• Do not use on the scalp or ears.
• Do not use on your eyes or eyelids.
• Do not use on acne.
• Do not use on male face or neck.
• Do not use on nipples, areola or genitals.
• Do not use if you have tattoos or permanent make up in the area to be treated.
• Do not use on an area of recent surgery, deep peel, laser resurfacing, scars or skin that has been
damaged with burns or scalds.
• Do not use the device on irritated or damaged skin ie: rashes, open wounds, cold sores, sun burns.
