8. Driving
Observe the safety instructions for driving in this manual!
Familiarize yourself with the handling of the model step by step.
•
Stand behind the model and steer it away from you first. The reaction of the model to the steering will be the same as if you yourself have
the steering wheel in your hands.
•
Leave the model drive towards you. The reaction direction is now mirrored to the control direction.
•
Now start with simple driving exercises by driving circles or an „eight" as evenly as possible.
•
Use light, unattached pylons as boundaries and reversal markers to stake out a course with changing directions to train cornering.
•
Gradually increase the driving speed and observe the driving behavior. Always keep direct visual contact with the model.
Maintainance
Please use only high quality tools when doing repair or maintainance work. Otherwise this could lead to damage of the screws.
Regularly controls
Regularly check:
•
The model and the transmitter for visible damage
•
The tight fit of all screw connections; During operation, parts and screw connections can be released by engine vibrations and vibrations
•
The ease of movement of all rotating / moving parts;
•
Connections on contact and cable for secure routing
•
The tight fit of the rocker arms and the servo arm on the servo shaft
•
The state of charge of the transmitter and the drive battery
•
The symmetrical adjustment of the dampers of an axle
•
The condition of the tires
•
Thoroughly clean the cooling fins of the electric motor as well
Care
After each cleaning, the moving parts must be re-lubricated.
Escaping oil / grease must be thoroughly removed as otherwise dust may accumulate particularly well here.
