Manual
Insert the charged driving battery into the model:
•
Loosen the sapwood pin and open it.
•
Place the battery pack on the battery holder. For the tight fit of the battery, you may need to put some sponge rubber in the battery tray.
•
Close the battery compartment again, make sure that no cables are pinched and secure it with the cotter pin.
•
If the model is not used, always unplug the battery and remove it from the model!
•
Use only suitable batteries!
D) Visual inspection of the model
•
Are the wheel nuts and bolted connections tight?
•
Is the servo control lever firmly seated on the servo shaft?
•
Is the drive battery charged and fixed in the holder?
•
Are the rotating and moving parts smooth?
•
Are the cables laid and secured so that they can not get into moving parts?
•
Are the spring preload screw rings set the same on both sides of an axle?
•
E) Check the range of the remote control transmitter and the control functions
!
CAUTION!
Never run the model with a faulty working transmitter system!
Range of the transmitter
To obtain a secured control over the model, check the function and range of the transmitter system before the first start and after every crash.
For this it is sufficient to test the function of the steering servo. Should the controller not work properly, check the charging status of the trans-
mitter and receiver batteries as well and re-bind the transmitter and receiver.
•
Park the model so that the wheels hang freely in the air. Due to the friction of the tires on the ground, the steering would react too slowly
in the state.
•
Remove about 50m from the jacked-up model.
•
Perform the test of the steering function as follows:
1.
Move the steering wheel and trim to neutral.
2.
Turn on the transmitter.
3.
Connect the battery to the speed controller and switch on the receiver.
4.
Turn the steering wheel to the right and left. The wheels of the model must also turn to the right
and left. If the razors strike in the opposite direction, move the reverse switch for the steering fun-
ction on the transmitter to the other position.
5.
When you release the steering wheel, the wheels must turn back to the straight-ahead position.
6.
If the wheels in the neutral position of the steering wheel do not remain exactly straight ahead,
correct the position on the trim control for the steering function.
7.
The steering wheel end stops should bring the end stops right / left of the steering!
Cruise control
1.
Put the throttle / brake lever in a neutral position.
2.
The engine must not start in the neutral position of the remote control lever!
3.
If necessary, bring the motor to a standstill with the trim on the transmitter.
4.
Press the throttle / brake lever on the remote control forward.
5.
The rotational speed of the motor should change steplessly.
6.
Now move the remote control lever backwards to check the brake and reverse gear.
7.
If the wheels are turning in the wrong direction, correct the direction of travel by repositioning
the motor cables.
