To clean the sensor (E), gently clean its surface with a cotton swab slightly
moistened with alcohol and immediately dry it with a clean cotton swab.
Figure 3.
After cleaning, let it dry for at least 20 minutes before taking temperatures.
2. Grease on the forehead can cause an inaccurate measurement, so make
sure the forehead is clean. If you have had to clean the area, wait at least 5
or 10 minutes before taking the measurement.
3. If the temperature of the place where the thermometer is stored differs
greatly from the place where the measurement is made, please wait about
30 minutes for the thermometer to equilibrate with the temperature of the
room before use.
4. Open the battery cover and remove the insulating part when you use the
thermometer for the first time; the thermometer will turn on automatically.
Press any button to turn on the appliance when it is switched off. Figure 4.
5. Remember that in standby mode, the LCD shows the room temperature
information

5.1.2. BATTERY INSTALLATION/REMOVAL

When the low battery indicator (6) appears on the LCD screen, or the
thermometer stops working, you must install new batteries as soon as
possible.
This product uses two 1.5 V AAA batteries; perform the following procedure
to change or insert the batteries:
1. Open the battery cover. Figure 5.
2. Remove the old batteries and then place the new batteries in the battery
compartment. Be sure to insert the batteries correctly; the positive and
negative poles of the battery match the mark on the battery compartment
of the thermometer. Figure 6.
3. Replace the battery compartment cover and press to close. Figure 7.
Note: To protect the environment, dispose of batteries according to local
regulations and facilities. Keep batteries out of the reach of children.
5.2. FOREHEAD TEMPERATURE MEASUREMENT
External factors can influence forehead temperature, particularly when a
person:
• has been exposed to very low or very high temperatures.
• has recently been swimming or bathing.
• has covered their forehead.
In these cases, the person must remain at rest and in a suitable
environment for at least 30 minutes before taking the temperature.
