contribute to an injury or aggravation of the underlying illness.
3. Performing self-diagnoses and/or treatments based on the results of the
measurements can be dangerous. Be sure to follow your doctor's instructions.
4. The infrared sensor must be kept clean, dry and without deterioration at all
times to ensure accurate measurements.
5. Sweat or fat on the forehead can cause inaccurate measurements; make
sure the forehead is clean.
6. If the forehead has been cleaned, wait 5 or 10 minutes before taking
the measurement.
7. If the sensor is dirty, the measurement may be incorrect. Make sure it is
clean before using the thermometer.
8. The device is intended for occasional body temperature measurements
and monitoring. Any other use is considered inappropriate and may cause
material or even personal damage.
9. When the device is used to measure the temperature of a child, it
must be operated by an adult. Adults can measure their own temperature.
10. If the temperature of the place where the thermometer is stored differs
greatly from the place where the measurement is made, please wait about
30 minutes for the thermometer to equilibrate with the temperature of the
room before use.
11. Body temperature rises after exercising, bathing or showering, or eating.
Wait at least 30 minutes before taking temperature readings.
12. Do not store the thermometer at extreme temperatures, (below -20
°C/-4 °F or above 55 °C/131 °F) or extreme humidity (below 15% RH or
above 90% RH). Otherwise, this may cause inaccuracies.
13. Do not work with the thermometer in extreme temperatures, (below 15
°C/59 °F or above 40 °C/104 °F) or extreme humidity (below 15% RH or
above 85% RH). Otherwise, this may cause inaccuracies.
14. Do not use the thermometer if the main casing is damaged (for
example, the infrared sensor is broken). Continued use of a damaged unit
may result in injury, incorrect results or serious danger.
15. Please avoid mechanical shock; otherwise, the thermometer may be
damaged.
16. Do not attempt to open, repair or replace any part of the device except
the batteries.
17. Do not use any accessory that is not specified in this instruction manual.
18. Keep the thermometer out of the reach of children and pets to avoid
inhalation or ingestion of small parts. Do not allow children to take their
own temperature unattended.
19. Return used batteries to a suitable place for recycling. The batteries are
likely to explode upon contact with fire.
20. If you are not going to use the thermometer for a long time, it is advisable
to remove the batteries to avoid possible damage from chemical leaks. If
