Guarantee Terms

For products made in Germany the manufacturer gives a 12-month guarantee, (when no other guarantee has been
agreed) on the parts used and their adaptation. Product returns are permitted within the named guarantee period.
The guarantee period begins on the purchase date. The manufacturer guarantees that the products at the time of
their delivery showed no defects in material or assembly. Claims against the manufacturer will be rejected in cases of
deliberate damage, abnormal working conditions carelessness, failure to adhere to the original guidelines for the use
specified by the manufacturer, inappropriate use or by modification or repair by unauthorized persons.
For claims during the guarantee period to be honored the purchase date must be proven. The e-breathe Customer
Service department must be informed of all defects during the guarantee period. The process must adhere to the
guidelines for the return of goods.
IMPORTANT!
Before use, carefully study these instructions and the instructions for use for all other components (blower unit, respi-
ratory protection filter, head parts, carrying devices, etc.) and accessories used.
Proper operation and safe use of the device can only be guaranteed if the instructions contained in this manual are
strictly observed.
No liability will be accepted for damages which should occur due to incorrect and improper use of the device as well
as maintenance or repair work which has not been carried out in the e-breathe facility or in other facilities not express-
ly authorized by the manufacturer. It is also pointed out that the respiratory protection systems are always used only
by technically trained persons and under the supervision and responsibility of personnel who are exactly informed
about the limits of application of the devices and about the laws applicable in the country of use.

The Multimask Pro is designed to protect the respiratory organs and the face from gas and particulate pollutants
and is used with an air source. The air source can be a battery operated blower filter unit according to EN 12941 or a
compressed air control valve according to EN 14594. Together with an air source the Multimask Pro can be used as a
respiratory protection system.
The face shield can only be used with an air source, as this is the only way to create the necessary overpressure to
prevent pollutants from entering the Multimask Pro.
The use of a respirator must be part of a respiratory protection program. See EN 529:2005 for details.
The instructions contained in these standards point out important aspects of the respiratory protection program, but
are not intended as a substitute for national or local regulations (e.g. DGUV rule 112-190 [former BGR 190 rules] for
the use of respiratory protection devices / BGI 504-26 - Selection criteria for special occupational health precautions
according to the principle of the German Employer's Liability Insurance Association, G26 "Respiratory protection de-
vices").
If you are not sure about the selection and handling of the equipment, please contact your supervisor or the point
of sale. You may also contact e-breathe Safety's technical service department or selected service centers at any time.

1.1 Areas of Use

The Multimask Pro can be used in combination with a powered air purifying respirator as an alternative to a filter
protection wherever filtering respiratory protection is recommended.
The Multimask Pro can be used in combination with a compressed air control valve as an insulating device wherever
insulating respiratory protection is recommended.
For the selection of the appropriate respiratory protection (filtering respiratory protection or insulating respiratory
protection) the following factors must be considered:
• Type of contamination
• Concentration
• Workload
• Protection needs that exceeds the respiratory protection requirements
The risk analysis must be carried out by persons with the relevant training and experience in the area concerned.
