RF-NCH-500 Bluetooth Over Ear Headset for Travel

Intended use
The product is a stereo headset with active noise
cancellation. It has a USB-C
charging input and
TM
integrated microphone for voice calls.
Contact with moisture must be avoided under all
circumstances.
For safety and approval purposes, you must not
rebuild and/or modify this product. If you use the
product for purposes other than those described
above, the product may be damaged. In addition,
improper use can result in other hazards. Read the
instructions carefully and store them in a safe place.
Make this product available to third parties only
together with its operating instructions.

carefully and especially observe

a) General information
The device is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach
of children and pets.
Do not leave packaging material lying around
carelessly. This may become dangerous playing
material for children.
Protect
the
appliance
from
temperatures, direct sunlight, strong jolts, high
humidity, moisture, flammable gases, steam and
solvents.
Do not place the product under any mechanical
stress.
If it is no longer possible to operate the product
safely, take it out of operation and protect it from
any accidental use. Safe operation can no longer
be guaranteed if the product:
- is visibly damaged,
- is no longer working properly,
- has been stored for extended periods in poor
ambient conditions or
- has been subjected to any serious transport-
related stresses.
Please handle the product carefully. Jolts,
impacts or a fall even from a low height can
damage the product.
Consult an expert when in doubt about the
operation, safety or connection of the appliance.
Maintenance, modifications and repairs must
only be completed by a technician or an
authorised repair centre.
If you have questions which remain unanswered
by these operating instructions, contact our
technical support service or other technical
personnel.
b) Earphones
Do not use when driving a vehicle, operating
machinery or performing any other potentially
dangerous activity. You may not hear warning
signals and, as a result, be exposed to hazards.
If you use the product when playing sports or as
a pedestrian, adjust the volume so that you can
still hear environmental noises.
Do not listen to music at an excessive volume
for prolonged periods. This may damage your
hearing.
c) LiPo batteries
The rechargeable battery is permanently built
into the product and cannot be replaced.
Never damage the rechargeable battery.
Damaging the casing of the rechargeable
battery might cause an explosion or a fire! Unlike
conventional batteries/rechargeable batteries
(e.g. AA or AAA type), the casing of the LiPo
rechargeable battery does not consist of a thin
sheet but rather a sensitive plastic film only.
Never short-circuit the contacts of the
rechargeable battery. Do not throw the battery
or the product into fire. There is a danger of fire
and explosion!
Charge the rechargeable battery regularly, even
if you do are not using the product. Due to the
rechargeable battery technology being used,
these
you do not need to discharge the rechargeable
battery first.
Never charge the rechargeable battery of the
product unattended.
When charging, place the product on a surface
that is not heat-sensitive. It is normal that a
certain amount of heat is generated during
charging.

Charge battery
Connect the charging cable to the USB-C
charging port (1), and the other end to a suitable
USB-A power source.
The charging indicator (2) will light when
charging, and switch off when the battery is fully
charged.
When the battery is low, the status indicator (7)
will flash red and a voice prompt will be heard.
Operation
a) Bluetooth pairing
1. Activate Bluetooth on your phone or listening
device.
2. Start with the headset Bluetooth switched OFF
(3).
3. Switch the headset Bluetooth ON to enter pairing
mode:
- The status indicator (7) will alternate red and
blue. There will also be a voice prompt.
- Pairing mode will be active for 5 mins.
4. Select "RF-NCH-500" from the list of devices:
- The status indicator (7) will light blue to
indicate it is connected. A voice prompt will
also confirm connection.
5. If pairing is unsuccessful, repeat steps 1-4.
Pairing tips
Paired devices will be remembered.
The headset will always enter pairing mode
when switched on.
Switch the device Bluetooth on first, and then
switch the headphone Bluetooth on.
The headset can pair with more than one device.
The playback device is determined by which
active signal has been received first.
b) Active noise cancellation (ANC)
Switch on active noise cancellation (4) to reduce
ambient noise.
c) Use headset without Bluetooth
Connect one end of the audio cable to the
3.5 mm audio input (10) on your headset, and
the other end to the audio output on the device.

Switch Bluetooth off when listening using the

audio cable.

d) Equalizer (EQ) settings

Double press
to cycle through EQ
settings. A voice prompt will indicate the setting.

1 Band EQ: Pop (default) → 2 Band EQ: Bass
9
boost → 3 Band EQ: Treble boost → 4 Band
10
EQ: Rock → 5 Band EQ: Jazz.
The EQ will revert to the default each time
Bluetooth is switched off.

Care and cleaning
Disconnect any cables then switch Bluetooth and
ANC OFF before cleaning.
Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents,
rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions as
they can cause damage to the housing and
malfunctioning.
Clean the product with a dry, fibre-free cloth.
