Unpacking

Confirm that the following items are included in the box. If any item is missing or
damaged, contact your dealer for assistance.

AC cables with a straight connector part (illustration A-a) can be used. Cables
with an angled connector part (illustration A-b) may not fit, depending on a shape
of the connector. Make sure the connector will fit.

When the PS-Cover is installed, it is difficult to check the description on the label
attached to the base of the printer, so remove the PS-Cover if you need to check it.
The label differs depending on the printer's specifications.

You can hang the printer with the PS-Cover on the wall, using the optional WH-
10 hanging bracket set. Read the WH-10 installation manual for instructions.

Installing the Power Unit

Follow the steps described below to install the power unit (PS-190) in the PS-Cover.
Refer also to the order marked inside the PS-Cover to arrange the cable.
If the power unit is pre-installed, these steps are not necessary.
1. Place the power unit in the position shown in illustration B with the label side of
the power unit down, and push it downward so that it is not lifted from the PS-
Cover.
2. Set the DC cable between the power unit and the core so that it hangs on the hook
(1 in illustration C) of the PS-Cover.
3. Referring to illustration C, wrap the DC cable around and hang it on the hook of
the PS-Cover again.
4. Set the core of the DC cable (2 in illustration D) to the position shown in
illustration D.
5. Referring to illustration E, wrap the DC cable around the two projections three
times (3 in illustration E) in a figure-of-eight.
6. Push the DC cable into the cable holder on the PS-Cover (4 in illustration F) to
secure it in place.
CAUTION:
To avoid causing electronic interference, make sure of the following points when installing
the power unit.
• Set the core of the DC cable in the position shown in illustration
• Wrap the DC cable around the two projections in a figure 8.
