3.6 Fast heating HK 35, 40, 63
These heating pads have a fast heating function which allows them to heat up quickly
within the fi rst 10 minutes.
3.7 Additional Instructions for HK 40 Moist heating pad
The HK 40 is also suitable for moist applications. For this purpose it is equipped with an additional
moisture-storing insert of fl eece material. The heat transfer to the body is considerably improved
during moist use. Compared to a conventional, dry use of the heating pad, the moist heat is general-
ly perceived as more pleasant.
For safety reasons, the textile covering and the insert may only be moisturised while the
heatingpad is disconnected from the power supply (with the power plug removed from the
electrical outlet).
To use when damp, sprinkle or spray the textile covering and the insert with water.
Before switching on the heating pad, always make sure that the textile covering and the insert
no longer drip, even when subjected to a higher press-on pressure! The switch must never
come into contact with water. Never allow water from an excessively damp covering to run
along the cable into the switch.
The plastic casing of the heating pad is watertight. Please make sure that the sleeve is never dama-
ged and do not use the heating pad if signs of damage or wear appear.
When using the (damp) heating pad, no essential oils or creams may be used.
These can result in damage to the plastic casing under certain circumstances.
You can also use the heating pad dry (without moistening it).

• Only use the heating pad again once the heating pad and cover are completely dry.
4.2 HK 40
Moist heat can promote the growth of germs. Therefore, make sure after each damp use that the he-
ating pad dries again completely and the covering and insert are washed at frequent intervals. The
insert can be washed in the washing machine in hot water (approx. 140 °F). The textile covering can
be cleaned in accordance with the symbols on the label. Remove it for this purpose. Also clean the
plastic casing of the heating pad from time to time with a damp cloth.
5. Storage
If you are not going to use the heating pad for some time, we recommend storing it in its original
packaging in a dry place without weighing it down.
Allow the heating pad to cool down beforehand.
