6 Steps after the Basic Configuration

After the basic configuration, your Securepoint appliance is in a state in which
the appliance can be productively used and a basic protection is available. In
order to achieve optimal protection, please adjust the following UTM firewall
functions to your network.
Port filter:
The installation wizard has created a standard rule set for the internal network
and, if necessary, for the other networks. This rule set includes free
communication to the Internet, access to the appliance with proxy services
(DNS, proxy ports, ICMP, and more), and full access to the other networks
installed in the installation wizard.
Our recommendation:
Only grant access to what is needed for the one who needs it!
The rules created by the installation wizard cannot be edited and should be
deleted during the configuration and replaced with suitable rules.
