5 Registration and Licensing

All NextGen UTMs and VPN gateways must be licensed for operation! Without
licensing, operation is not allowed, the appliance is not up-to-date, and no
support is available. Safe operation is not possible!
Registration and licensing via email or in the Reseller Portal
To register, please send an email to:
With your customer data, the user number (for UTM firewall) and the type of the
product. If you are not yet registered in the Reseller Portal, you can register
there. You will then receive portal access via email and can independently
create a license file.
Insert license file into the appliance:
When you have received a license file, log on to the appliance with your
username and password and click on the menu Extras. Select the Registration
menu item. Please upload the license file - without changing it - to your
appliance. This makes your Securepoint NextGen UTM or VPN Gateway fully
functional.
Note:
The Securepoint license files have the ending .pem. If the license file is
available in a different format, please contact us:
