3.6 Application

3.6.1 Placement
Place the patient on their side in a position their medical condition allows.

Place the Rollboard Vision partway under the patient from the side.

Place the patient on their back.

3.6.2 Transfer
Work beside the bed.

Push the patient onto the Rollboard Vision.

Push the patient with Rollboard Vision in the desired transfer direction.

If a draw sheet is used, the patient can be pulled in the desired direction on the Rollboard Vision using the

draw sheet.
3.6.3 Removal
Briefly place the patient slightly on their side.

Remove the Rollboard from under the patient.

3.6.4 Notes
Transfers for patients up to max. weight of 200 kg (roller load max. 200 kg with cover)

Pulling the Rollboard Vision by the handles during the transfer is possible up to a max. load of 200 kg

(tensile load max. 200 kg with cover).
The Rollboard Vision can be operated by four users when transferring very obese persons.

The Rollboard Vision can be lifted briefly during a transfer while loaded.

The Rollboard Vision can be pulled up or down, moved or briefly lifted out of an unfavourable transfer

situation.
Transfers are also possible with small clearances.

Transfers are also possible if the two surfaces are at different heights.

Transfers of patients with drains or respiratory distress syndrome are possible.

3.6.5 Additional notes for Rollboard Vision with pulling loops and handles
- Larger transfer distance
- Low contact transfer thanks to pulling loops
In order to meet the different hygiene requirements in clinical settings, there are three different
versions of the Rollboard Vision which are used differently:
A. Rollboard Vision with Textile Cover
Before using the Rollboard Vision, ensure that the included Textile Cover is fitted onto the Rollboard body. Then the
Rollboard Vision can be used as described (see item 3.6).
