SAFETY OF LOCATION AND INSTALLATION

WARNING AGAINST ELECTRICAL VOLTAGES
► The following minimum distances must be observed when installing
connecting cables and wires of electrified animal fences (electric fences) near
high‑voltage power cables:
Voltage of the high-voltage cable
► When installing connecting cables and wires of electrified animal fences
(electric fences) near high-voltage cables, they must only be installed at a
maximum height of 3 m above the ground. This height must be complied on
both sides of the vertical projection from the outer conductors of the high‑
voltage cable to the ground's surface. The following distances apply in this
case:
• 2 m for high‑voltage cables with a nominal voltage of up to 1000 V
• 15 m for high‑voltage cables with a nominal voltage of more than 1000 V
► Follow the instructions for grounding given in the instruction manual.
► Maintain a minimum distance of 10 m between any electrode of the electric
fence energiser and other grounded systems (e.g. protective earthing of the
power supply system or the earthing of a telecommunications system).
► Ensure that connecting cables that are routed inside buildings are effectively
isolated from grounded, load-bearing parts of the building. Ensure this by
using isolated high-voltage lines.
► Ensure that underground connecting cables are routed through conduit
made from isolating material or use isolated high-voltage cables.
► Ensure that connecting cables are not damaged by animal hooves or tractor
wheels sinking into the ground.
► When installing the connecting cables, do not use the conduit of the mains
supply, communication cables or data cables.
► The electrified animal fence (electric fence) must not be closer than the
minimum distance of 2.5 m to any grounded, metallic objects (e.g. drinking
troughs, water pipes). This particularly applies in areas where people may be
present.
► Do not cross connecting cables and wires of the electrified animal fence
(electric fence) over high-voltage lines or communication lines.
► Crossing high-voltage cables must be avoided. Where this cannot be avoided,
the crossing must be below the high‑voltage cable and run at an angle as
close to a right angle as possible.
► Only use properly installed power sockets to supply the fence with power. Do
not use converters/inverters to supply power to the device. This may result in
damage to or destruction of the device.
► Do not power an electrified animal fence (electric fence) using two separate
energisers or independent fence circuits from the same energiser.
