2.3.2 Emergency lowering

A mechanical emergency lowering device is installed so that the
unit can be lowered from the sitting position to the lying position in
the case of a power cut. Emergency mechanical lowering should be
carried out by 2 persons. Remove all bed linen, pillows, Topper units

and mattresses.
Back section: person 1 raises the back section up to ca. 45°.
Person 2 bends down into the now open section of the Boxspring
bed and raises the plastic adjuster arm slightly, releasing the metal
drive lever from the adjuster arm. Person 2 leaves this area of the bed,
person 1 lowers the back section gently. Proceed in like manner to
replace the drive lever. Foot section: person 1 raises the end of the
foot section as far as possible. Continue as for the back section. When
lowering the foot section please ensure that the transverse bar rests
properly in its holder. Fig. 5/p. 22.

2.3.3 Cable operation for 2 bed sides

With the aid of the Dual-Port synchronous cable 6P (ordered separately),
2 bed sides can be adjusted with one hand switch. It does not matter
which of the hand switches in the Dual-Port is used - they cannot be
used at the same time. The Dual-Port synchronous cable is inserted in
each of the hand switch jacks on the motors. The hand switches are
then inserted in the jacks in the Dual-Port synchronous cable. Fig. 6/p.
