2. Place food and water in the inner pot. Food and water should fi ll a total of only
4/5 of the pot. Food that expands during cooking should fi ll only 3/5 of the
pot, while the water should fi ll a maximum of 1/5 of the pot.
3. Clean the outside of the inner pot and the heating element before placing the
inner pot in the outer pot. Make sure that the inner pot is seated correctly.
4. Attach the sealing ring to the lid by moving it to the left and right until it
is fi rmly seated. Put the lid on and turn it counterclockwise until it is fi rmly
seated.
5. Install the pressure limit valve, and make sure that the fl oat is down. (It must
be down before working).
