OPTICAL AND COAXIAL DIGITAL INPUTS
The X-P1200 is equipped with 2 optical inputs and 2 coaxial inputs. You can connect your sources
with digital outputs to these inputs to take advantage of the digital to analog converter (DAC) built
into your X-P1200 preamplifier.
DAC is the popular single chip AD1955 high performance stereo digital audio playback system. It
includes a multibit sigma-delta modulator, high performance digital interpolation filters, and
continuous time differential current output DACs. Other features include an on-chip click-less
stereo attenuator and mute function, programmed through an SPI-compatible serial control port. The
AD1955 is fully compatible with all known audio formats including 192 kHz as well as 96 kHz and 24
bit sample rates. It is also backward compatible by supporting 50 μs / 15 μs digital de-emphasis for
redbook compact discs, as well as de-emphasis at 32 kHz and 48 kHz sample rates.
