Locking motor RM Basic

Electrical connection

Note: The connecting cable for the locking motor supports 24 V DC.
Caution: These cables must never be laid with a mains power supply (e.g. 230 V AC). This is a 24 V DC
connection. Never use a different voltage or an AC connection. This will destroy the motor and invalidate your guarantee.
1. Remove the end cap
A 2-core connecting cable is required to connect the
locking motor. To connect the cable, you must remove
the end cap. Remove the end cap from the locking
motor. Use the screw driver to remove screw 1.
Pull out end cap 2 with the complete circuit board 3.
To connect the cable (see the wiring example).
Unscrew the top part of end cap 2.

Note: The DIP-Switch are preset at the factory, please do not change!

3. Connecting the locking motor with the chain motor (single- and tandem operation)
Connect control cable 4 (2-core) and connecting cable
5 (3-core) in accordance with circuit diagram 6 to the
terminal screw 3. Screw on top part of end cap 2
(check that the cable sits securely). Set end cap 2 on
housing again and fix securely. Check the operation of
the locking motor.
*Connection from chain motor

 the locking motor has switched off in direction Closed.
 the locking motor moves in the direction Open.
 the locking motor moves in the direction Closed.
 the locking motor is opened and passes the input voltage to the chain motors.
 the locking motor detects the direction Close, passes the input voltage to the chain motors
and waits until these have turned off in direction Closed.
 malfunction, see chapter troubleshooting.
