THREADING from the BOBBIN SPINDLE:
1. Pull Bobbin Spindle out from the machine. Be sure not to lose the spring!
2. Insert Bobbin Spindle through a full bobbin, then replace the spring.
3. Now insert Bobbin Spindle back into the machine. Make sure the Bob
bin Spindle and bobbin are tightly secured to the machine.
4. Pull the thread through the fi rst thread guide moving towards the front
of the machine.
5. Bring the thread across the Tension Screw. Position the thread
between the two washers behind the Tension Screw.
6. Pull through the next thread guide.
7. Pull thread through the Take-up Lever.
8. Pull thread downward through the next thread guide.
9. Pull thread downward through the guide in the Needle Clamp. If
necessary, turn the Hand Wheel towards you to lower the Needle.
10. Insert thread through eye of the Needle from left to right. (You can
use your threader here!) If necessary, raise the Needle to reach the
eye by turning the Hand Wheel away from you.
11. Raise the Presser Foot by lifting up on the Lever at the rear of machine.
12. Pull out about 10" of thread through the Needle and lay it behind the
machine.
THREADING from the THREAD SPOOL:
To use a full size spool of thread that comes from a craft store:
1. Raise the Thread Spindle by grasping the top and pulling upward until it is fully
extended.
2. Place your spool on the Thread Spindle.
Now the rest is the same as the Bobbin Threading! Continue with steps 4-12.
Note: You can "Double Stitch" by threading both the Bobbin Spindle and the Thread
Spool at the same time. This will give you 2 threads while you sew
for extra strength!
The machine comes pre-threaded and ready to
sew! Look at this threading carefully to guide
you. The numbers on the drawing match up to
the steps.
Remember to always thread in the same direction,
from the back of the machine towards the front!
