Safety instructions
Slopes and other obstacles
Warning:
ƒ Avoid slopes with a gradient greater than 10˚.
Driving on slopes (forwards or in reverse) is always
dangerous.
ƒ You must never free wheel down a slope.
ƒ Drive carefully along (pavement) edges. An
uneven surface increases the risk of overturning.
Attention:
ƒ Your centre of gravity moves when you drive up or
down a slope. Please beware.
ƒ Turn around carefully on a steep slope as there is
a greater risk of overturning.
ƒ Always mount and leave a pavement in a forward,
straight line. Accelerate very gently. It is better to
mount the pavement using a curb cut.
The maximum bump height you can drive over is

10 cm.
Soft, slippery or uneven surfaces increase the risk
ƒ
of a dangerous situation.
Transporting the mobility scooter without a driver
(see also the chapter 'Transport and storage')
Life-threatening:
When transporting the mobility scooter in a motor
ƒ
vehicle, always make sure you are seated in a
fixed seat of the motor vehicle. Mobility scooters
may never be used as seating support in a motor
vehicle, even if the mobility scooter is secured with
a taxi restraint system.
Warning:
ƒ Make sure that your fingers do not get trapped
when folding down the mobility scooter.
Never carry the mobility scooter by the plastic
ƒ
parts of the housing.

Attention:
ƒ Make sure that the mobility scooter is fully
assembled before use.
Miscellaneous
Warning:
ƒ Do not put the mobility scooter in direct sunlight:
the upholstery can become too hot, and cause
burns or irritation to the skin.
Be careful:
ƒ Do not allow the mobility scooter to come into
contact with seawater: seawater is corrosive and
will damage the mobility scooter.
ƒ Do not allow the mobility scooter to come into
contact with sand: sand may penetrate to the
moving parts of the mobility scooter, causing
faster wear and tear.
Attention:
A number of technical precautions have been made
to further guarantee your safety:
ƒ The immobiliser is activated whenever a battery
charger is connected.
ƒ The speed in bends is automatically limited.
ƒ Free wheeling is limited.
The display warns you if the battery voltage is too low.
ƒ
The display gives you information for resolving
ƒ
possible faults.
In the event of an electronic fault, the mobility
ƒ
scooter make a controlled stop.
ƒ The control panel of the mobility scooter includes
a stop button to stop the scooter quicker in an
emergency.
ƒ The mobility scooter has ergonomically shaped
safety handlebars to prevent injuries to fingers
and hands.
