Safety instructions

Attention:
ƒ This mobility scooter is suitable for transporting a
single person.
ƒ Only use original Life & Mobility parts and
accessories.
ƒ The mobility scooter has a fully programmable
electronic control system. Changes to the
programming must only be made by Life &
Mobility.
Never cover or remove the safety instructions and
ƒ
stickers.
ƒ Always switch off the mobility scooter and take out
the ignition key before leaving it. This prevents
unwanted use and/or theft.
Personal requirements
Warning:
If you are under the influence of substances that
ƒ
may affect your ability to drive, you may not drive
the mobility scooter.
Attention:
ƒ Your vision must be adequate to drive the mobility
scooter safely in any situation that may occur
during use.
ƒ Please follow the relevant traffic rules that apply.
ƒ Make sure that you can always be seen by other
road users. As a user of a mobility scooter you are
very vulnerable on the road.
Avoid quiet routes. Make sure that help can be
ƒ
arranged in the event of an emergency.
ƒ Switch off the mobility scooter if you are using
your mobile telephone. Your mobility scooter may
activate security gates in shops.

Assembling and adjustment

Warning:
ƒ Before using the mobility scooter, check that all
components of the mobility scooter are properly
mounted and secured.
Attention:
Your dealer can set up the various driving features
ƒ
for you with the microprocessor.
Sitting in the mobility scooter
Warning:
ƒ Make sure that your fingers and limbs do not get
trapped. Always be very careful:
­ When folding away armrests.
­ If you are not in full control of your arms or legs.
Driving the mobility scooter

Warning:
ƒ Drive carefully on roads that are slippery due to
rain, black ice or snow.
ƒ Make sure that no loose clothing can get caught.
It can obstruct the wheels and cause the scooter
to overturn.
Watch out for overturning:
ƒ
­ If you have set up the seat with a large back
angle.
­ When driving up a slope.
­ If the slide system is in the rear­most position.
ƒ Do not transport anything on the handlebars.
ƒ Do not let anyone stand on the rear of your
mobility scooter.
