Mounting the ADFA on a vehicle roof
Improper mounting or handling can cause injury or even death.
 Observe all national regulation in the country of use to secure a load on
the vehicle roof.
 Pay attention to the additional height when driving into an underground
car park, a tunnel, under a bridge, under trees, and so forth.
 Mount the ADFA only on a sufficiently large vehicle roof. If the ADFA is
detached from the center of the roof and slips, there should be a buffer
zone at the front and rear of the roof. If the antenna falls into the
windshield, it may cause serious injury or even death.
 Use the enclosed security strap for the mandatory additional fastening of
the ADFA. Dropping the ADFA while driving can cause serious injury or
even death to other road users.
Magnetic mount adapter
The principle of the magnetic mount adapter is based on magnetic
interaction with a magnetic material (that is, the vehicle steel roof). All
factors that influence the magnetic field should be eliminated,
otherwise personal injury or damage to the ADFA may occur.
 The vehicle roof must be made of a magnetic material (such as magnetic
steel). This is the only way the magnetic mount adapter can adhere.
 Check whether the vehicle roof has a sufficiently flat surface. Roofs with
strong curvatures are unsuitable for mounting the magnetic mount
adapter.
 The surface of the vehicle roof and the magnetic mount adapter must be
clean, dust-free and dry to ensure maximum adhesion. No air slot is
allowed between the magnetic mount adapter and the vehicle roof.
 Do not mount the magnetic mount adapter over sharp edges on the
vehicle roof as this could damage the magnetic foil.
 Pay attention to possible cut-outs through glass windows or sliding roofs.
This can make the installation impossible.
 If the vehicle has a steel sunroof or lifting roof, the magnetic mount
adapter may only be attached to it if there is no overlap with the
surrounding roof. Overlapping may affect adhesion and the magnetic
mount adapter cannot be used in this case.
 Repainting of the vehicle roof or filling with a filler during repair, may
affect the adhesion of the magnetic mount adapter to the roof. The
magnetic mount adapter cannot be used in this case.
