AUTOMATIC CODE SEARCH
1 Turn on the device you want to control (for example, TV, decoder).
2 Get the list of codes attached to the remote control. Locate your
device's brand and search all codes related to your brand.
3 Press and hold the SETUP button on the remote control until a
red LED turns on. Release the SETUP button: the red LED will
remain on.
4 Press the button for the device you want to control (for example,
TV, decoder). The red LED will flash once and then stay on.
5 Use the number buttons on the remote control to enter the first
searched 4 digit code in the list (see point 1). The red LED will
turn off after entering the fourth digit.
6 Aim the remote control at the device and test the buttons on the
remote control to see if the device responds as expected. If the
buttons do not activate the device, go back to step 2 and use the
next code selected for that device.
7 Repeat steps 1 - 5 for each device you want to control.
Notes:
1 When entering the code, the red LED will flash once each time
a number is entered. If the code has been entered correctly, the
red LED will turn off without flashing after entering the final
number.
2 If no operation is performed for 30 seconds the remote control
will automatically exit setting mode; the red indicator will flash
six times and turn off.
3 Any remote control button can be programmed to control a
device. For example, you can use the auxiliary device button on
the remote control to control a digital receiver, VCR, CD, or any
category of device in the code list.
4 If the code entered is invalid, the red LED will flash twice and
exit setting mode with the code unchanged.
5 Some codes may be limited to certain functions of the device.
There may be another code in the code list that controls multiple
functions. Try other codes in the code list for more functionality.
6 If you cannot find a remote code that works on your device
or there are no codes in the list of codes for your device,
use the automatic code search method in the next section to
programme your remote control.
