3. Intended Use

This product is designed to measure temperature via a type K temperature sensor. The meas-
urement range is from -200 to +1370 ºC (-328 to 2498 ºF). The measured temperature readings
are saved on the data logger and can be analysed using the software included. The internal
memory can store 31,808 readings. In addition, alarm values can be set that trigger a visual
warning signal if they are exceeded/under-run. The measurements can be started automatically
or manually. Power is supplied via a 3.6 V lithium type 1/2 AA battery.
This product fulfils European and national requirements related to electromagnetic compatibility
(EMC). CE conformity has been verified and the relevant statements and documents have been
deposited at the manufacturer.
It is intended for indoor use only. Do not use it outdoors. Contact with moisture, e.g. in bath-
rooms, must be avoided under all circumstances.
For safety and approval purposes, you must not rebuild and/or modify this product. If you use
the product for purposes other than those described above, the product may be damaged. In
addition, improper use can result in short circuits, fires, electric shocks or other hazards. Read
the instructions carefully and store them in a safe place. Make this product available to third
parties only together with its operating instructions.
