heavy mechanical stress.
• The outdoor lamp is not a toy and should be kept out of the reach of children!
• The outdoor lamp may only be operated via a suitable power supply with an
output voltage of 12V (direct or alternating current).
• Do not use the outdoor lamp in rooms or under adverse ambient conditions where
combustible gases, vapours or dust are or may be present!
• The product is splash-proof (IP65), however, do not mount or use it in or under
water.
• To avoid eye injury, do not look at the light source or point the light at persons or
animals.

- the device was stored under unfavourable conditions for a long period of time or
- the device was exposed to extraordinary stress caused by transport.
Preparations for Installation
The outdoor light may only be operated with 12V direct or alternating current.
When direct current is used, the polarity is not important when connecting the
outdoor lamp.
If you do not have the expertise required for the installation, do not install it
yourself but ask a qualified technician.
Please note:
• The outdoor lamp may be mounted and operated indoors and outdoors; the product is pro-
tected according to IP65.
However, never mount the outdoor light in or under water, this will destroy the device.
• Do not mount the outdoor lamp in places where stagnant water may collect.

• Make sure you install the outdoor light on a solid base, e.g. brickwork.
• Choose a mounting location where no one can trip over the lamp or the connecting cable.
Version 06/09
• Only mount the outdoor lamp in places where de-icing salt will not be applied in winter, since
this may lead to corrosion damage.
°
• Lay the connecting cables so that they cannot be damaged (e.g. by gardening or suchlike).
• Do not drive over the connecting cable. Lay the cable so it is not exposed to mechanical stress;
use suitable protective pipes, if necessary.
• Always use appropriate couplers and connectors for the connection. Make sure the connec-
tors/couplers are not placed in or under water!
Installation
• The outdoor lamp is attached to the ground by two screws. If necessary use suitable dow-
els/plugs.
• Take care that cables or lines are not damaged while drilling or bolting down.
• Connect the connector plug to the voltage/power supply. The outdoor lamp must be powered
by a voltage of 12V (direct or alternating current). When direct voltage (12Vdc) is used, the
polarity is not important for the connection.
• Ensure that the connecting cable is not bent or otherwise damaged.
Maintenance and Care
The outdoor light does not require maintenance. Therefore, never dismantle the product. The
LED used is very long-lasting; it cannot be replaced.
The exterior of the outdoor lamp should only be wiped with a clean, soft, dry cloth. Where it
becomes very dirty, use a cloth which is slightly moistened with lukewarm water.
Never use aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solutions as the surface of the housing could
be damaged (discoloured).
