6.0 Installation instructions

6.1 General

The user must ensure that his employees are fully trained and supervised to the proper
working procedures, in order to ensure their safety. The plant must be maintained in a safe
condition.
Ensure that the equipment is correctly installed, in a suitable location by technically
qualified personnel.
The use of the fan heater is only permitted, when using an electrical safety device. A
protective device with residual operating current of 30m A shall be installed.
During installation, the equipment must be kept in a clean condition at all times. Debris
from cable installation activities must be removed at once. Precautions must be taken to
avoid any small pieces of debris of a conductive nature from being left in the termination
enclosures.
During installation, the equipment must be thoroughly inspected at regular weekly interval
with regard to external damage cleanliness and internal condition. Any visible damage or
adverse conditions that occur must be immediately documented and reported. In such an
event, the supplier must be contacted immediately for advice.
On completion of the installation work, the condition of the equipment must be inspected.

6.2 Heater installation

CAUTION
- Do not install the fan heater with the terminal box in upward or downward
position.
