8 Warranty and repair

8.1

Warranty

1. BodyTel Europe GmbH grants a warranty of two years from date of sale. Proof of
purchase must be supplied in the form of a correctly completed warranty card or a receipt.
2. Defects due to faulty material or workmanship will be repaired free of charge during the
warranty period.
3. The warranty period is not extended as a result of warranty services being provided,
either for the device as a whole or for any components.
4. The warranty excludes
a. any damage caused by improper use, e.g. by failure to observe the operating
instructions.
b. damage caused by maintenance or interventions carried out by the purchaser or
unauthorized third parties.
c. damage resulting from transport, either from the manufacturer to the customer
or on the way to customer services.
d. component parts subject to normal wear and tear (e. g. batteries).
5. Liability is excluded for direct or indirect damage caused by the device even if the
damage to the device falls within the terms of the warranty.
6. Unauthorized modification of the warranty card invalidates it.
7. Further claims for whatever reason are excluded.
BodyTel Europe GmbH does not warranty the batteries supplied.
8.2

Repair

In the case of a warranted repair please complete the warranty card giving precise details
of the sender and the defect. Please contact our service department (see front cover) for
shipping details.
