• Never touch the outer enclosure of the slow cooker during its opera-
tions or before it has cooled down. Always use handles, knobs, oven
gloves or a cloth when removing lid and handling contents.
• Never cook directly in the base unit, always use the ceramic pot.
• Do not use the ceramic pot or glass lid if it is cracked or chipped.
• Do not leave the slow cooker connected to the outlet when it is not in use.
• Do not switch on the slow cooker when it is upside down or laying on
its side.
• The glass lid and ceramic pot are fragile. Always handle with care.
• Never immerse this appliance in water or any other liquid.
• If the supply cord is damaged it must be replaced by the manufacturer,
its service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
• There are no parts you can repair or replace yourself.
BEFORE FIRST USE
1. Remove all labels, tags and plastic from the slow cooker.
2. Make sure that all packing materials have been removed.
3. Wash the ceramic pot and glass lid in hot, soapy water with a sponge or a dish cloth.
4. Rinse thoroughly and let dry.
NOTE! Make sure that you never immerse the slow cooker base in water. During initial use
you may notice a slight odor due to the burning off of manufacturing residues. This is com-
pletely normal and will disappear after using the slow cooker for some time.
