Adjusting the spring fork (if present)

Adjusting the hardness of the spring

If your suspension fork has a steel spring suspension, you can adjust the
behaviour of the spring preload on the left fork leg.
1. The rule of thumb is: The suspension fork should sink
in approximately 20 to 25% of the total suspension travel distance
when the rider sits on the bicycle in the riding position.
With the forks used here, which have a travel distance of 60 mm,
this 20 - 25% is equivalent to 12 - 15 mm
If you are in any doubt about the setting,
please contact your specialist bicycle dealer.
2. If the fork is too soft, turn the adjustment knob clockwise until the values
stated in paragraph 1 have been reached.
3. If the fork is too hard, turn the adjustment knob anti-clockwise until the
values stated in paragraph 1 have been reached.
NOTE:
If the adjustment range of the fork is not sufficient to adapt the hardness of the
spring to your body weight, including the load, it is necessary to install a different
steel spring with the appropriate hardness in the fork. Please contact your specialist
dealer on this.

Adjusting the air pressure

If your suspension fork has air suspension, you can adjust the spring
behaviour by means of the air pressure.
For the adjustment you need a special suspension fork pump.
The use of other pumps may damage your suspension fork.
NOTE:
You can purchase a suspension fork pump that is suitable for your EPAC from your
specialist bicycle dealer. If you do not have such a pump, have your suspension ad-
justed by your specialist bicycle dealer.
1. The rule of thumb is: The suspension fork should sink in approximately
20 to 25% of the total suspension travel distance when the rider sits on the
bicycle in the riding position. With the forks used here, which have a travel
distance of 60 mm, this 20 - 25% is equivalent to 12 - 15 mm
If you are in any doubt about the setting, please contact your specialist
bicycle dealer.
2. Screw the head of the suspension fork pump on to the connection
of your suspension fork.
Position of the connection: See the user information
of the suspension fork manufacturer.
