Preparing the child seat
Before fitting the child seat in the car, check the
height of the harness straps and the head rest
and adjust it if necessary.
How to check the height of the harness
straps and head rest
Put the child seat on the floor and sit the child
snugly in position.
Check that the harness straps (J) are adjusted
to the position closest to the child's shoulders
and preferably just above its shoulders (fig. 3).
Adjust the height of the headrest (A) so that the
child's head is well enclosed; the headrest must
not touch the child's shoulders (fig. 4).
How to move the child seat harness straps
Release the harness strap (J) from the metal
yoke (K) behind the backrest of the child seat
(fig. 5).
Unthread the strap from the backrest (fig. 6).
Unthread the padding fixture plate (L) from the
backrest (fig. 7).
Thread both the padding fixture plate (I) and the
strap (J) into the slot in the backrest at the
desired height (fig. 8).
Reattach the strap (J) to the metal yoke (K)
(fig. 9).
Repeat the same procedure with the other
strap.
Warning: check that the straps (J) pass through
the padding and that the spongy part is facing
towards the child's body.
Warning: check that the straps are not twisted
and that the padding fixture plate (L) cannot slip
through the backrest.
How to adjust the height of the headrest
To pull the head rest (A) upwards, press the
button (C) and raise it. Push it downwards to
lower it (fig. 10). It will click as it goes from one
position to the next.
Warning: a correctly positioned head rest is
essential for the child's safety.
Do not remove the head rest under any
circumstances.
Using the child seat
Place the child seat on one of the rear seats or
on the front passenger seat.
Warning: in some countries, the highway code
prohibits the use of child seats on front seats.
Check the highway code of the country you are
in.
Warning: do not place the child seat on the front
seat of the vehicle if there is an active airbag.
Warning: do not place the child seat on a seat
that is only fitted with a lap belt.
Warning: do not insert anything between the
child seat and the vehicle seat.
Group 1 (from 9 to 18 kg)
Position the child seat on the vehicle seat so that
it is fully resting against the base and backrest.
Warning: the safety belt positioning points are
coloured in red. Do not thread the car safety belt
through positions other than those shown
Pass the car's diagonal safety belt across the
upper part of the backrest (fig.11).
Pass the car's lap safety belt under the armrests of
the child seat.
Pass both belts through the holes on the backrest.
Pass both through the armrests of the child seat.
Fasten the car's safety belt.
Tighten the car safety belt well. Ensure that it is not
twisted and that it is securely resting under the
armrests of the seat.
How to remove the child seat from the car
Release the car seat belt, unthread it from the
child seat and allow it to retract.
How to position the child in the seat
Press the adjuster (F) and at the same time pull
both the harness straps (J) (fig. 12).
Press the red button on the buckle (H) to open
it (fig. 13).
