The "Time" indicator will light up after pressing the "Prog" button again. Pressing the "Hr" and "Min" buttons after that, you can set
the hour at which the coff ee maker will switch on automatically.
Pressing the "Prog" button again will switch the coff ee maker to standby mode.
The "On/Off " button is used to turn the coff ee maker on and off . The fi rst time you press the button, the "Run" indicator will light
up, which means the coff ee maker has started working. The next press of the button will light up the "Auto" indicator, which means
that the coff ee maker will automatically start at the previously programmed time.
Pressing the button again will deactivate the indicators and turn the coff ee maker off . You can turn the coff ee maker off at any time
by pressing and holding the "On/Off " button until all indicators are off .
The coff ee maker brews the coff ee until all the water from the tank is poured through the ground coff ee and into the jug. Once
brewing is fi nished, the heater in the base will continue to work to keep the fi nished beverage warm.
WARNING! Do not remove the jug from the base before the coff ee brewing process is complete. If the jug is removed, the valve
through which the coff ee drips from the sieve basket into the jug will close, but the brewing process will continue. If the jug is not
put back for too long a time, the strainer basket will overfl ow and the beverage will spill directly onto the hot heater in the base,
which can lead to damage to the appliance, cause an electric short circuit, electric shock and fi re.
If there is no water in the tank when the coff ee maker is being switched on, the coff ee maker will not start brewing the coff ee, but
will only start the heater in the base, heating the contents of the jug.
WARNING! The appliance does not have a sensor to check if the jug is empty. Heating up an empty jug can cause it to crack, and
can also cause the appliance to overheat, which can lead to product damage and/or fi re.
WARNING! The jug with the heated drink is very hot. Be careful not to get burned. Grab the jug only by the handle. Be careful
when pouring the hot beverage from the jug into other vessels. Do not cool a heated jug rapidly, for example by fi lling it with
cold water. Allow the jug to cool down on its own to room temperature and then fi ll it with cold water. Otherwise, the jug may be
damaged.
MAINTENANCE, TRANSPORT AND STORAGE
Coff ee maker maintenance
Since the product is used to prepare a beverage for food use, it should be kept clean and regular maintenance should be carried
out. Maintenance activities are not part of the warranty. Failure to carry out proper maintenance may result in the rejection of the
product claim and may lead to the loss of product warranty.
WARNING All maintenance activities must be carried out with the product switched off . To do this, unplug the power cord plug
from the socket.
WARNING! Allow all parts of the product to cool down completely before carrying out maintenance activities. Do not accelerate
the cooling process by fi lling with cold water.
The jug, the strainer basket and the strainer should be removed from the appliance and cleaned after each brewing with a jet of
running, lukewarm water with the addition of dishwashing liquid. Caution is advised when cleaning the strainer. Do not use too
much force to avoid damaging the strainer.
The other components of the appliance are not suitable for immersion in water or exposure to water jets.
None of the components of the appliance are intended for cleaning in a dishwasher or with a high-pressure water jet.
Clean the housing and the components which are not washable with a water jet, using a soft, slightly damp cloth, and then wipe
them dry.
Sediment removal
Depending on the quality of water, minerals precipitated from the water during the process of water heating (boiler scale) may
settle inside the water system; this is a normal phenomenon, however, it may lead to damage to the appliance or reduce its effi -
ciency. If sediments accumulate, they must be removed using acetic or citric acid. Pour 0.5 l of vinegar into a jug or pour 40 g of
citric acid, fi ll the jug with water to the maximum level, and then pour the solution into the coff ee maker tank. Place the strainer
basket and the strainer in the appliance and start the coff ee maker according to the coff ee brewing procedure. After that, empty
the jug, rinse it with clean water and wipe the interior dry. If the mineral sediments have not been completely removed, repeat the
entire removal process.
After the removal of mineral sediments, fi ll the tank with clean water to the maximum level and start the coff ee maker according to
the coff ee brewing procedure. This will remove the remaining solution used to remove mineral sediments from the coff ee maker's
water system.
The procedure for the removal of mineral sediments should be carried out at least once every quarter.
CAUTION! Mineral sediments will settle slower if fi ltered water is used for coff ee brewing.
After some time of use, coff ee discolouration may appear on the strainer and basket. It can be removed with a solution of citric
acid in hot water. Prepare a dish with a solution of 40 g of acid in 1.5 l of hot water, then immerse the strainer and the basket in it.
Leave them submerged for a few hours. Then clean with a jet of lukewarm water. If the sediment cannot be removed, the strainer
and the basket must be replaced with new ones. Excessive sediment can hinder or make the coff ee brewing process impossible,
which can lead to damage to the coff ee maker.
