PACKAGE CONTENTS
• Wall plug transformer
• 2 x low-voltage plugs
• Operating instructions
EXPLANATION OF THE SYMBOLS
The symbol with the lightning bolt indicates that the product is connected tos the mains voltage.
In the operating manual, an exclamation mark inside a triangle indicates important instructions.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to observe these
safety instructions! We do not assume any liability for any resulting damage!
We shall not accept liability for damage to property or personal injury caused by incor-
rect handling or non-compliance with the safety instructions! In such cases, the warranty
will be null and void.
• The unauthorised conversion and/or modifi cation of the product is not permitted for safety and
approval reasons (CE). Never dismantle the product.
• The product is not a toy. Devices operated using mains voltage must be kept out of the reach
of children. Therefore, be especially careful when children are around.
Use the product where it is out of the reach of children.
• The product is intended for use only in dry, indoor locations. The product must not become
damp or wet; never handle it if your hands are wet! There is a life-threatening hazard through
an electric shock!
• The design of the wall plug transformer complies with Protection Class II. Use only a standard
mains socket as the power source for the wall plug transformer.
The mains socket into which the wall plug transformer is plugged must be easily accessible.
• Never use the product immediately after it has been taken from a cold room to a warm one.
The condensation that forms might damage the product under certain circumstances. Further-
more, this could cause a lethal electric shock!
Allow the product to reach room temperature before connecting it to the power supply and
putting it to use. This may take several hours.
• Avoid the following adverse conditions at the installation location and during transport:
- Excessive humidity or dampness
- Extreme cold or heat, direct sunlight
- Dust or fl ammable gases, fumes or
- Solvents
- Strong vibrations, impacts or blows
- Strong magnetic fi elds such as those found in the vicinity of machinery or loudspeakers
• Do not pull the wall plug transformer from the mains socket by pulling on the cable. Hold it on
the sides of the casing and pull it out of the mains socket.
• When using the product, make sure that suffi cient air circulation is ensured and do not cover
the product.
• Always place the cable carefully so that nobody can trip over it. Risk of injury.
• Make sure that the low-voltage cable of the wall plug transformer is not pinched or kinked or
damaged by sharp edges.
• Never pour liquids on electrical devices, and never place any liquid-containing objects (such as
vases) on top of them or near them. You run the risk of causing a fi re or a fatal electric shock.
• If the wall plug transformer is damaged, do not touch it; there is a life-threatening electric
shock hazard!
First, switch off the mains voltage to the socket to which the wall plug transformer is con-
nected (switch off at the corresponding circuit breaker or remove the safety fuse or switch off
®
at the corresponding RCD protective switch, so that the socket is fully disconnected).
You can then unplug the wall plug transformer from the mains socket. Dispose of the faulty
wall plug transformer in an environmentally friendly way, do not use it any more.
• Do not leave the packaging material carelessly lying around, since it could become a danger-
ous plaything for children.
VERSION 04/13
• Handle the product with care; it can be damaged by impacts, blows, or accidental falls, even
from a low height.
GETTING STARTED
• Connect a suitable low-voltage plug to the connection cable on the wall plug transformer. To this end,
please observe the correct polarity (see illustration).
Important!
The permanent output voltage of 5 V/DC of the wall plug transformer must correspond to the
input voltage of the electrical load that is connected to the wall plug transformer.
If this is not observed, both the connected load and the transformer may be damaged, resulting
in loss of warranty!
• Plug the wall plug transformer into a standard mains socket. The mains voltage supplied is signalled by a
red LED at the front of the housing.
• If the load has an on/off switch, switch the load on now. If the load does not function correctly, switch it off
immediately and check the correct cable connection (polarity).
• To save energy, unplug the wall plug transformer from the mains socket as soon as it is no longer
needed.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
The wall plug transformer does not require any maintenance and should never be disassembled for any
reason.
Pull the wall plug transformer from the mains socket before cleaning. Use a clean, dry, soft cloth for clean-
ing. Do not use aggressive cleaning agents, as these can cause discolouration. Do not press too strongly
on the surface when cleaning, to prevent scratch marks.
DISPOSAL
Dispose of an unserviceable product in accordance with the relevant statutory regulations.
