Before installing the ProV1 Video Doorbell, please
1) Find the optimal installation location:
The installation location should be at a height that
optimally captures the people in front of your front door. Despite
the wide viewing angle, it can happen that people standing too
close to the video doorbell are not completely recorded. Mount
the video doorbell in a way that the people can be seen in the
video as best as possible. If necessary, use one of the two
mounting brackets to generate the optimal detection area.
2) Check WiFi Signal:
Before you start with the installation, test whether there is a
sufficient WiFi signal at the desired mounting location. A stable
WiFi connection is a prerequisite for the operation of the ProV1
Video Doorbell. Before starting the installation process, you
should test the WiFi signal at the mounting location with your
smartphone.
3) Note and consider the local and regional laws concerning
video surveillance equipment.
4) WiFi-Router Settings:
The ProV1 supports the 2.4 Ghz frequency. In rare cases, the
5 Ghz frequency must be switched off during the installation and
connection process of the ProV1. After successful installation, the
5 Ghz frequency can be turned on again.
