Commissioning
Insert memory card (uSD) in unit. The card may only be insert/
removed when the unit is switched off, otherwise the data may be
damaged and the system may malfunction.

Operation

The Universal Traffic Recorder is automatically activated in the
"Driving mode" when the ignition is switched on and records to the
uSD-card when driving. When the ignition is switched off the Universal
Traffic Recorder automatically switches to "Park mode", where the
vehicle is monitored using radar and vibration sensor technology.
Coupling with a smartphone
In principle the Universal Traffic Recorder can be used in the basic
settings without coupling to a smartphone.

To use the Universal Traffic Recorder with your Smartphone (iOS
or Android), you must first download the free "Universal Traffic
Recorder" app "UTR - Fahrsituationskamera" from the respective
App Store iTunes (iOS) or Google Play Store, Tencent, Baidu
(Android). Please activate the Wi-Fi function on your telephone and
connect to the hotspot (SSID) Universal Traffic Recorder so as to
couple your smartphone to the Universal Traffic Recorder.
standard password is: 1234567890. Please then immediately change
the standard password through the Universal Traffic Recorder App
>System settings>Wi-Fi >. After changing the password you must
use the new password to log-in to the Wi-Fi hotspot (SSID) "Universal
Traffic Recorder".
In the smartphone app, under the point "Software" you can find the
detailed handbook with explanations for the various functions.
Time settings
The Universal Traffic Recorder sets the date and time automatically
using GPS (UTC). The adaption for time zones or summer/winter time
is set by comparing set time with your smartphone. The unit is now
ready for operation.
