DANGER
Risk of injury due to unexpected start-up
An unexpected start-up of the device can result in extremely serious injuries.
• The entire system must be disconnected from the power supply prior to
performing any work on it.
• Close off the compressed air supply.
NOTICE

• The system may only be put into operation
by qualified personnel (in Germany see TRBS 1203).
To connect the gouging torch, proceed as follows:

1 Keep the compressed air valve (8) on the handle (7) closed.
2 Slide the compressed air hose onto the compressed air nozzle (5) and
secure it with a hose clamp.
NOTICE
• Use only water- and oil-free compressed air and observe the allowed
pressure of 7-10 bar at 600-1000 l/min.
3 Fasten the welding current cable to the connection lug and tighten it.
This completes the connection of the gouging torch.

To change the carbon electrode, proceed as follows:
1 Press down the fastener (1) and insert the carbon electrode.
2 Release the fastener (1).
This completes the change of the carbon electrode.
