HOT WATER BATCH VOLUME SET-UP
A - Regulator in the left-hand position = Minimum hot water batch volume
(150 ml)
B - Regulator in the right-hand position = Maximum hot water batch
volume (300 ml)
NOTICE:
• Prior to the first use, we recommend:
1. Filling the water tank to the MAX level.
2. Heating the maximum volume of water at least 3 times and pouring it
out.
3. Emptying the water tank and refilling it with clean water.
4. After this, the appliance is ready for regular use.
• The appliance may only be used with the supplied base.
• Prior to every use, check the appliance and, if needed, empty the
drip tray so that overflowing is avoided.
CAUTION! Take extra care when emptying the drip tray There may
still be some hot water in the drip tray. Risk of scalding!
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Remove the appliance from the base (12).
2. By pressing button (3), open the lid (1) and fill the water tank (2) with cold water - never exceed the permitted
maximum.
3. Close the lid (1) properly.
4. Place the appliance on the base (12); the electric contacts will be connected automatically.
5. Use the regulator (8) to select the required volume of hot water (150 - 300 ml)
6. Place a receptacle of the required volume on the drip tray grid (10) under the water discharge opening (9).
Note: We recommend using a receptacle with a volume higher than the preset batch volume in order to avoid hot
water overflow. By taking this precaution, you can reduce the risk of scalding by hot water.
7. Connect the base (12) power cord to the mains.
8. Turn the appliance on by pressing the on button (6). The operating light indicator inside the appliance will illuminate.
The water tank lid (1) must be properly closed when water is being heated.
CAUTION!
Do not open the water tank lid (1) during or immediately after heating: a portion of hot water returns automatically
into the tank; it may spurt and scald you!
9. By pressing the off button (7), you can interrupt the water heating prematurely, or stop the stream of discharging
hot water.
10. After reaching the boiling point, the appliance turns off automatically, the operating light indicator inside goes off,
and the preset volume of hot water is discharged into the ready receptacle.
11. Wait until no more water comes from the discharge (9)! Then you can remove the receptacle with hot
water!
Note: If the ready receptacle overflows, the drip tray (11) will capture the excess water.
12. If you need to prepare another batch of hot water, check or, if needed, empty the drip tray (11), and press the on
button (6) again.
13. After use, unplug the power cord from the electric voltage socket.
14. The power cord may be wrapped around the bottom section of the appliance base (12) for storage.
