1 Safety notices
1.5 Re: Children
People (including children) who are
unable to safely operate the appliance on
account of their physical, sensory or mental
abilities or their lack of experience or
knowledge should only use this appliance
under surveillance or instruction by a
responsible person. Store it out of reach.
Never leave the appliance unattended.
Use with even greater care when children or
people who cannot assess the risks are
nearby.
Packing material must not be used to play
with. Danger of suffocation!
1.6 Intended use
Only use the steam cleaner in households for
cleaning normally dirty hard floors, e.g. tiles,
stone floors, parquet, laminate flooring and
other smooth surfaces, (and carpets with
carpet glider base), that can withstand the
high temperature, the pressure and the
moisture of the hot steam. With the optional
carpet glider base, the steam cleaner may
also be used on short-pile carpets.
Any other use is considered inappropriate and
is prohibited.
It is especially forbidden:
To steam clean:
- Limbs/persons, animals or plants as well
as clothing that is still being worn. Risk of
scalding!
- Surfaces that are dirtied by substances
hazardous to health or glued surfaces.
The hot steam could dissolve these
substances.
- Unsealed, lacquered, oiled or waxed
wood or parquet flooring, as well as glass
and soft plastic surfaces. They could
become damaged.
- Glossy plastics. The plastic can become
matte by the steam.
- Textiles, leather, furniture, window panes.

It is especially forbidden:
To fill the water tank with liquids other than
water or with water additives (e.g. cleaning
agents, etc.). Additives could be harmful to
health or could destroy the appliance.
Do not use near explosive or easily
flammable substances or on pressurized
containers. There is a risk of fire or explosion
or of the containers bursting.
Outdoor use. Rain and dirt destroy the
appliance.
To steam-clean interior and exterior walls.
To use the appliance without a clean
microfibre cloth.
To operate it with the water tank empty.
To use the appliance in a horizontal
position or even over your head.
To alter or modify the appliance on your
own.
1.7 If the appliance is defective
Never use a defective appliance or
operate an appliance with a defective power
cord. If the power cord of this appliance is
damaged it must be replaced by the
manufacturers,
their
representative or a similarly qualified person
to avoid danger.
Bring or send defective appliances to a
specialist dealer or to Royal Appliance
Customer Services for repair (Chapter 6,
"Warranty").
