Operation

Operating Modes

Before any work on the machine itself, pull the
mains plug.
Adjusting the Cutting Angle (see figure D)
The base plate 6 can be swivelled by 45° to the left or
right for mitre cuts.
If required, remove the dust cover 15 (see Dust Cover)
and pull the saw blade storage 5 out of the base plate
6. Insert a saw blade 11 (see Inserting the Saw Blade).
Loosen the screw 20 and lightly slide the base plate 6
toward the vacuum connection 4.
For adjustment of precise mitre angles, the base plate
has adjustment notches on the left and right at 0°,
22.5° and 45°. Swivel the base plate 6 to the desired
position according to the scale 8. Other mitre angles
can be adjusted using a protractor (see figure E).
Afterwards, push the base plate 6 to the stop in the
direction of the saw blade 11.
Position the holder for the guide roller 21 in such a
manner that the guide roller 9 faces against the back of
the saw blade. Precise cuts are possible only when the
guide roller faces tightly against the back of the saw
blade.
Tighten the screw 20 again.
The dust cover 15 and the splinter guard 19 can not be
used for mitre cuts.
Offsetting the Base Plate (see figure D)
For sawing close to edges, the base plate 6 can be off-
set to the rear.
If required, pull the saw blade storage 5 out of the base
plate 6. Insert a saw blade 11 (see Inserting the Saw
Blade).
Loosen the screw 20 and slide the base plate 6 toward
the vacuum connection 4 to the stop.
Position the holder for the guide roller 21 in such a
manner that the guide roller 9 faces against the back of
the saw blade. Precise cuts are possible only when the
guide roller faces tightly against the back of the saw
blade.
Tighten the screw 20 again.
Sawing with the base plate 6 offset is possible only
with a mitre angle of 0°. In addition, the parallel guide
with circle cutter 24 (accessory) as well as the splinter
guard 19 may not be used.

Sawdust Blower Device
With the air jet of the sawdust blower device 7, the cut-
ting line can be kept free of dust and chips.
Switching on the sawdust blower
device:
For cuts in materials with high
removal rate, such as in wood, plas-
tic, etc., turn the switch 7 in clock-
wise direction to the "Blowing"
position.
Switching off the sawdust blower
device:
For cuts in metal and when using
coolant/lubricant, turn the switch 7
in anticlockwise direction to the "0"
position.
Laser Line (see figure F)
The laser line shows the cutting line. Mark the desired
run of your cut onto the surface of the work and follow
the marked line with the laser line while sawing.
To switch the laser line on or off, press the laser line
On/Off switch 18.
After sawing, switch the laser line off again. Otherwise
you could be blinded while handling the machine. For
stationary operation with the machine (assembly with
the saw blade upward), the laser line must not be
switched on due to danger of blinding.
The laser line can be adjusted to the left and right.
Check the position of the laser line before starting. For
this, switch on the laser line and use the control knob
17 to align it with a line and the cutting line mark 12 on
the base plate.
When sawing under unfavourable conditions (e.g.
intense sun irradiation) you can improve the visibility of
the laser line by using laser viewing glasses (acces-
sory).
