BRS-LCi VW

1 Identification

The cleaning station BRS-LCi VW is used in industry and in the trade for automatic cleaning of the gas nozzle
interior of MIG/MAG welding torches. It serves as preventive measure to extend the service lives of torch
and the maintenance intervals. The frame construction consists of cast aluminum which includes the
pneumatic valves. These operating instructions only describe the cleaning station BRS-LCi VW. The cleaning
station BRS-LCi VW may only be operated using original ABICOR BINZEL spare parts.

1.2 Responsibilities of the User
Within the EEA (European Economic Area), the current version of the national implementation of the
Framework Directive (89/391/EEC) and the related individual directives and, of these, especially Directive
(89/655/EEC) concerning the minimum safety and health requirements for the use of work equipment by
workers at work must be adhered to. In Germany, the Labour Protection Law and the Company Safety
Ordinance must be heeded. In addition, the operator must ensure that the welding torch and welding unit
comply with the EC EMC Directive (89/336/EEC) and that the signal utilization of the integrated welding
current monitoring against stray currents is installed properly.

2 Product Description

2.1 Designated Use
The cleaning station BRS-LCi VW forms part of the welding system and is intended for robot use. Designated
use also includes the observance of the prescribed operating, maintenance and servicing instructions.
2.2 Use contrary to the designated use
Any use other than that described under "Designated Use" is considered contrary to the designated use.
Unauthorized conversions or power increase modifications are not allowed.
