General definitions
Before you make an adjustment, you must first make a
few general definitions:
•
Should the weigher have only one measuring range?
•
If there are two measuring ranges, should the
weighing indicator be used in dual-range mode or in
dual-interval mode?
•
Should a legal for trade weigher be set up?
•
What unit should be displayed?
When is a second measuring range useful?
Two measuring ranges can be advantageous, especially
in legal for trade applications. The number of verification
intervals determines the resolution in the measuring
range of the load cell. To achieve a better resolution in the
partial load range, a second measuring range can be
used, provided an appropriate load cell is available.
This makes it possible, for example, to measure a load up
to 100 kg with a resolution of 25 g or up to a nominal load
of 200 kg with a resolution of 50 g.
Dual-range mode or dual-interval mode?
In non-legal for trade (industrial) mode, with a resolution
of WE2111 over 100,000 steps there is no reason to make
one of the two settings. However, the Scale type menu
item also allows for the adjustment in mV/V.
The two variants are almost identical. The difference is in
the way the legal for trade weigher responds in operation:
