INSTRUCTION
Start-up and programming
After installation and connecting power the control parameters must
be set. This is done by first setting the PULSER-DSP to
programming mode.
Simultaneously press and hold the two lefthand buttons (< and >).
After a few seconds the display will show 00.0.
Release the buttons and the bottom right button (-) three times.
The controller will enter programming mode and the first menu will
be displayed.
Use the left-hand buttons (< and >) to navigate between the diffe-
rent menues. Use the right-hand buttons (+ and -) to change the
displayed parameter value. A changed value is instantly valid.
To exit from programming mode and return to normal running mode,
simultaneously press the two left-hand buttons (< and >). The
controller will revert to normal running mode automatically after
5 minutes of inactivity in programming mode.
Menu Setpoint (fig 5)
Adjustable 0...30°C in 0.5 increments.
If presence detection is activated (see Menu Presence detection)
there will be two menues for setpoint, Normal setpoint (presence
detector input closed) and Reduced setpoint (presence detector
input open).
Menu Setpoint, Normal (fig 6a)
Adjustable 0...30°C in 0.5 increments.
Menu Setpoint, Reduced (fig 6b)
Adjustable 0...30°C in 0.5 increments.
Menu P-band (fig 7)
Adjustable 0.5...99.5K in 0.5K increments.
Menu I-time (fig 8)
Adjustable 0...999 seconds. Setting it to 0 disables integration so
the controller will become a pure P-controller.
Menu Cal (fig 9)
The sensor input value can be adjusted ±3K in 0.1K increments.
INSTRUCTION
Menu Presence detection (fig 10)
Activation / deactivation of the presence detection function.
Off = Function not active
On = Function active
If presence detection is activated symbols in the display will
show if the presence detection input is open or closed.
If the input is closed the "Man" symbol will be shown within the
rectangle and the controller will use the normal setpoint (see
Setpoint, Normal here above).
If the input is open the "Man" symbol will be displayed outside
the rectangle and the controller will use the reduced setpoint
(see Setpoint, Reduced here above).
Normal display
When PULSER-DSP is in normal running mode the display
digits show the present temperature at the sensor and the bar-
graph will show the present power output level. Each bar
represents 12.5% output.
If the presence detection function has been configured a symbol
indicating presenc or non-presence will also be shown.
Person within rectangle = Normal setpoint is used
Person outside rectangle = Reduced setpoint is used.
Setpoint displacement
In normal running mode the two righthand buttons (+ and -) can
be used to displaced the setpoint vlue by ±3K in 0.5K
increments. The present displacement will be displayed as soon
as either of the two buttons is depressed. If the presence
detection function has been activated any setpoint displacement
will influence both setpoints.
