1. descriPtiOn OF stOrage tanKs

The cOrhYdrO storage tank is intended for solar or sanitary hot water installations. In
the event of a solar installation, it allows the discontinuous nature of the sun's rays and
hence the production of solar energy to be overcome, and also aims to make the phase shift
between the solar supplies and the sanitary hot water requirements smoother. To calculate

the minimum volume of sanitary hot water storage, the volume rule of 50l/m² of solar
panels is recommended. For large solar panel surface areas, a number of tanks can be
installed in series.
The CORFLEX tank range is a variant of the CORHYDRO range. The installation and
maintenance specifications are the same.
Two lifting rings at the top of the tank allow it to be moved by crane. To access the 2 lifting
rings on the reservoirs with unclassified casing, you must remove the hood at the top.
The tanks have an external rust-proof layer of paint.
maximum water use temperature: 95 °c
service pressure: 8 bar (or 10 bar as an option).
Thermal insulation of the water tanks is made either:
- for version m0, of a hard gray casing with 100 mm glass wool insulation.
- for version m1, of a soft, insulated, 100-mm-thick glass wool casing covered with a soft
PVC jacket (non-flammable).
- for the unclassified version, of a soft, insulated, 100-mm-thick foam casing covered
with a soft PVC jacket.
Versions M1 and M0 are delivered in 2 packages:
- The tank comes in a bubble-wrapped pallet,
- The insulated casing comes in a cardboard box.
The delivery is in 1 package for the unclassified versions: Casing is installed on the tank.
An identification plate giving a variety of information for the tank is located on a foot of the
tank. Please note down this information before calling the customer service department.

2. setting uP the aPPLiance

• 2 lifting eyebolts on the upper part of the tanks allow them to be positioned by a
crane. using tapping connections is prohibited since damage would be caused to
the internal coating.
• Place the tank and its safety unit (and/or safety valve) sheltered from frost.
• Position it as close as possible to the main draw-off points.
• If it is placed outside the inhabited area, insulate the pipes. If the equipment is to be
installed in a room where the ambient temperature is always over 35°C, provide ventilation
for the room.
• Ensure that the support element is suitable to hold the weight of the tank when it is full of
water.
• Provide opposite the cover a minimum space of 1 metre opposite the flange (or
the manhole) for periodic tank maintenance. Likewise, sufficient clearance must
be provided above the tank to allow for maintenance to the magnesium anode (see
next chapter).
• Install a retention tank with the drainer under the tank when it is placed in an attic or above
inhabited dwellings.
