1.3 Application and use not in conformity with the intended
purpose
The hydraulic battery powered crimping tool APG 80 is designed to crimp terminals and
connectors with up to 400 mm² maximum cable cross sections, for cord-end-sleeves up
to a cross section of 240 mm² and for round-forming of sector-conductors. Parts which
are under voltage must not be processed with the crimping tool. The tool is considered
as not isolated. The hydraulic powered crimping tool may be used exclusively in
environments with illumination of at least 400 lux, or in daylight.

Precautions in using the equipment

DANGER
The non-observation of the safety instructions may create a situation of
danger for the life and health of persons, or may cause material damage
to the machine and the surrounding environment.
Never place fingers or other parts of the body into the working area of the
crimping head!
Keep away from other persons. Keep unauthorised persons away from
the working area while the battery-powered crimping head is operating.
Wear appropriate working attire and safety shoes!
Inspect the battery powered tool to make sure it has not been damaged.
Place the machine in service only if it is free of defects.
If situations of danger for persons or for the machine occur during
operation, stop the crimping tool by pressing the return button.
In the event of serial assembly it is necessary to use the shoulder strap
provided with the machine.
Inspect the area of danger before turning the tool on. The machine may
be started up only if there are no situations of danger.
The battery may be removed when the hydraulic batterypowered crimping
APG 80 has been shut down safely.
