DMX-VERBinDung: DMX-512 DMX (Digital Multiplex) ist die Bezeichnung für ein universelles Übertragungsprotokoll für die Kommunikation zwischen entsprechenden Geräten und Controllern. Ein DMX-Controller sendet DMX- Daten an das/die angeschlossene(n) DMX-Gerät(e). Die DMX-Datenübertragung erfolgt stets als serieller Datenstrom, der über die an jedem DMX-fähigen Gerät vorhandenen „DMX IN“- und „DMX OUT“- Anschlüsse (XLR-Steckverbinder) von einem angeschlossenen Gerät an das nächste weitergeleitet wird.
