DESCRIPTION OF THE
MACHINE
The air hydrau lic lift is fixed, that is an cho red, to the ground and has
been de si gned and ma nu fac tu red for lif ting cars and par king them at a
height.
The lift is chie fly com po sed of four por tions:
fixed fra me work unit (base);
mo bi le unit (arms + lif ting plat form);
lif ting unit (pneumatic actuator);
sa fe ty de vi ces.
Fi gu re 5 shows the va rious parts com pri sing the lift.
FIXED FRAMEWORK UNIT
It is com po sed of a base (1) made of wel ded steel plates, with ho les for
fi xing to the ground by means of ex pan ding plugs (see chap. 4
"in stal la tion"). In si de the base the re are holes for the at tachment of the
lif ting arms and for the sa fe ty arms.
MOBILE UNIT
It is com po sed of a plat forms and levers of wel ded steel plates (2),
con nected at the ends by means of shafts and con nected to the base.
A sprag (3), con nected to the towing arm, again by means of pins, is
au to ma ti cal ly in ser ted du ring the who le lif ting pha se and locks the lift
du ring par king at a height.
LIFTING UNIT
It is com po sed of a pneu ma tic ac tua tor (4) con nected by ho ses.
The pneu ma tic ac tua tor is ope ra ted by a rud der pe dals (6).
SAFETY DEVICES
The sa fe ty de vi ces are com po sed of:
A sprag to lock and park the lift at a height.
two foot guards (5).
A li mit switch.
A pneumatic sa fe ty valv
An an ti- ro ta tion sy stem of the arms.
