3.5.1. Switch on/off

To switch the Bosch eBike System on or off press the power button at the
upper edge of the Bosch Purion display (Figure 11)
The display shows current speed, support mode and battery level.
If an error code is displayed during initial start up or the e-
bike does not start up at all, although the battery is correctly
installed, contact your Schindelhauer dealer. A defect might
be the case. If the system does not start up, do not try to
charge the battery! Danger of fire!
If the battery level shows less than 2 bars on the Purion display the battery
should be charged before an extended bike ride (chapter 3.5.5, page 70).
You can now start your ride with the Bosch eBike System assisting you with
the selected support mode.

3.5.2. Support modes

Use the "+" and "-" buttons on the Purion display to select one of the four
different support modes "ECO", "TOUR", "SPORT" and "TURBO". Pressing the
"-" button in "ECO" mode again shuts off the electrical assist and "OFF" is
displayed as the current mode. All other functions remain active.
A long press of the "-" button skips through additional information.

3.5.3. Lighting

A long press of the "+" button on the Purion display activates or deactivates
the lighting system.
If the e-bike is switched off with the lights activated they are automatically
switched on at the next start up of the e-bike system.

3.5.4. Walk assistance

The top speed of the walk assistance is 6 km/h. With Heinrich and Hannah
models the speed of the walk assistance also depends on the selected gear
and is highest in 8 th gear. Pay attention that the pedals are moving when the
walk assistance is used.
To activate the walk assistance first press the "WALK" button, then press and
hold the "+" button.
After the Bosch Purion display indicated an empty battery,
the lighting system can be used for another two hours.
Make sure that the battery level is sufficient to guarantee
lighting for the duration of your planned ride, especially
when riding in the dark.

3.5.5. Battery handling

Charging the battery:
The battery can be charged conveniently using the charging socket in the
seat tube of the e-bike, or directly when not installed in the downtube. Both
