2.2.3 Circuit pipe made of Oventrop composition pipe
"Copipe"
The compression fitting must only be used for the
dimension indicated on the packaging.
Cut the pipe at a right angle to the centre line with the
help of a pipe cutter and debur the inner plastic layer.
Calibrate the pipe. Suitable tools for the different
processing steps are offered by Oventrop.
Mount the compressing fitting as shown in the sketch.
The O-ring on the support body must not be damaged
or pushed out of the groove. The pipe must be slipped
over the outlet as far as it will go. Tighten the collar nut
with an approx. torque of 40 Nm. It is recommended
to retighten the connection after a few temperature
changes.
The compression fitting must only be used once.
3 Application
One pipe central heating systems with circulation pump
with circuit pipes up to 8000 Watt.
Operating temperature t s :
Max. operating pressure p s : 10 bar
Fluid:
Water and suitable water and glycol mixtures
according to VDI 2035 / ÖNORM 5195 (max.
50%). Not suitable for steam or oily and aggressi-
ve fluids.
4 Description and function
The "Bypass-Combi Uno" for reversed supply and return
pipe is a fitting for the problem-free installation of central
one pipe heating systems.
The "Bypass-Combi Uno" consists of a "Uno" one pipe
connection piece, a connecting pipe and a reversed angle
pattern valve, double angle pattern valve or straight
pattern valve with pipe elbow as well as a compression
fitting set. Compared to the standard model item no.
1013162/62, the "Uno" one pipe connection piece is used
for reversed direction of flow (return on the radiator side).
If the thermostat shall point forward, the double angle
pattern valve or the straight pattern valve with pipe elbow
is to be installed instead of the reversed angle pattern
valve.
The thermostat has to be ordered separately.
The distributor is adjusted at works to a radiator flow
share of 35 % of the circulated water quantity = 6.25 turns
of the adjustment screw.
This value can be reproduced at any time by turning the
adjustment screw to the right until stop and then to the left
by 6.25 turns. This setting can be carried out whilst the
system is in operation. Water will not escape.
5 Advantages
The Oventrop "Bypass-Combi Uno" for reversed supply
and return pipe allows an efficient, time-saving installation
and a simple dimensioning of one pipe heating systems.
The infinitely adjustable bypass allows an optimum
economical design of the complete heating system.
The radiator fitting of the one pipe connection piece may
consist of a brass fitting or an isolating fitting.
The isolating fitting prevents even small capacity radiators
from self convection heating by the heat flow across the
radiator fitting when the thermostatic valve is closed.
The facility for the isolation of the supply and return to the
radiator allows the removal of the latter whilst the heating
system is in operation.
