"Uno" One pipe connection piece for reversed supply and return pipe
EN
1 General information
Heating systems have to be operated in compliance with
the proven professional guidelines regarding temperature,
pressure, chemical additives etc. (deposits and corrosion).
"Y" type strainers should be installed in the system to
clear it from any dirt particles.
The circuit pipe is connected to the valve on either the
right or left hand side of the radiator, which will lead to an
ideal pipe layout in new buildings and a time-saving
installation during refurbishment of existing ones.
The connecting pipe is supplied with a length of 560 mm,
1120 and 2000 mm and has to be cut to required length
(approximate dimensions):
Distance between pipe centres less 20 mm for reversed
angle pattern valve.
Distance between pipe centres less 21 mm for double
angle pattern valve.
Distance between pipe centres less 93 mm for straight
pattern valve with pipe elbow.
2 Compression fittings
2.1 Compression fitting for connecting pipe
The Oventrop compression fittings are to be used for the
installation of the connecting pipe.
The outer diameter of the connecting pipe always
amounts to 15 mm and is connected to the valve and the
one pipe connection piece via double compression rings
and collar nuts.
2.2 Compression fittings for the circuit pipe
The Oventrop compression fittings are to be used for the
connection of the circuit pipes made of copper, precision
steel, stainless steel and plastic or the composition pipe
"Copipe". (Alternatively, the compression fittings of other
manufacturers which are suitable for the connection to
male thread G
according to DIN EN 16313 (cone

"Euro") may also be used– except for composition pipe
"Copipe".)

1 Allgemeines
The circuit pipes are connected to the connection piece
with the help of compression rings and collar nuts.
The pipes are cut to the required length at a right angle
to the tubular axle. The pipe ends must be free of burrs
and undamaged. Oblique or too short pipe ends can
cause leakage.
The individual components of the compression fittings
for steel and copper pipes are slightly lubricated at
works to facilitate installation.
The valve disc and the O-rings of the valve and the one
pipe connection piece must not come into contact with
mineral oils or greases.
Tighten fitting firmly. The sealing edges of the compression
rings must not be damaged.
Attention: When installing copper pipes with a wall
thickness of ≤ 1 mm, it is necessary to use reinforcing
sleeves for the additional stabilisation of the pipe. Should
the wall thickness exceed 1 mm, please contact the pipe
manufacturer.
Exception:
Reinforcing sleeves are not required for soft sealing
compression fittings.
Note: The pipes are not held by the soft sealing fitting, they
have to be fixed add itionally. Regarding stretching in the
pipe ends, the instructions of the pipe manufacturers have
to be observed.

2.2.2 Circuit pipe made of plastic
Cut plastic pipe at right angles.
Slip the collar nut and the slotted compression ring over
the pipe end.
Push the reinforcing sleeve of the tailpipe into the plastic
pipe until stop.
Insert the tailpipe with O-ring into the body connection
(the plastic pipe must not be pulled off the reinforcing
sleeve) and firmly tighten the collar nut.
The fitting components must under no circumst ances be
lubricated (otherwise the O-ring will be damaged).
